She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from the Department of Chemistry, İnönü University, Turkey. She continued her M.Sc. in the Department of Fisheries at Izmir Kâtip Celebi University, Turkey with the thesis title ‘The impacts of net cage fish farming on water quality of Ildır Bay’ under the supervision of Dr. Saniye Türk Çulha. During her Ph.D., she got a YÖK 100/2000 Ph.D. Scholarship from the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) in 2018. Rabia joined the PNCA laboratory under the co-supervision of Dr. Horzum where she worked on algae-based nanofibers and their sorption applications. She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher under TÜBİTAK 2218 Program.
