Tuğba Isık graduated from the Department of Chemistry, İzmir Institute of Technology (İzTech), Turkey. Then she received her M.Sc. degree in Materials Science and Engineering in 2015 from İzTech and her Ph.D. degree in 2019 from the same department under the co-supervision of Dr. Horzum at Izmir Kâtip Celebi University. In 2020, she got her second M.Sc. in Chemistry from University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Her research interest focuses on the fabrication of electrospun nanofibers and their adsorption applications. She is currently a researcher in Mineral Research and Exploration General Directorate at Ankara, Turkey.
