The paper entitled ‘Poly(2-Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate) Hydrogel-Based Microneedles for Metformin Release’ from Tübitak 2551 has been published in the Global Challenges.

The release of metformin, a drug used in treating cancer and diabetes, from poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate), pHEMA, and hydrogel-based microneedle patches is demonstrated in vitro. Such pHEMA microneedles have potential applications for transdermal delivery of metformin to treat aging, cancer, diabetes, etc.
